The lessee acknowledges that the vehicle is the property of KREW-V Rent a Car. No modification, maintenance or repair is permitted without the written consent or approval of KREW-V Rent a Car. It is prohibited to use the vehicle for commercial purposes.
This rental contract has been concluded under the express and formal condition that only the lessee can drive the rented vehicle, so that under no circumstances can the customer lend it or sublet it to other people, especially for driving purposes or use it for other services.
By signing the contract, the lessee, an adult, acknowledges that she/ he and the additional driver mentioned in the contract are the only people authorized to drive the vehicle. If damages occur while the vehicle is being driven by an unauthorized driver, the policy holder will be responsible for the costs and any repairs caused by the damages. The driver must be at least 18 years old to rent a vehicle.
The customer undertakes not to consume alcoholic beverages, drugs or narcotics of any kind while driving the vehicle. In case of non-compliance with this provision, the customer will be responsible for any material or moral damage caused to KREW-V Rent a Car and third parties, including cleaning costs of 50 USD if smoke is detected in the vehicle.
In this contract, the customer is responsible for all risks exceeding the limits of the insurance policy that covers the rented vehicle, for being its current guardian.
In the event of an accident, theft or vandalism, the renter must immediately inform the police and KREW-V Rent a Car, by filing the corresponding report and obtaining all contact details of the parties involved. In the event of an accident at fault, the vehicle being partially covered by an insurance policy, the lessee must assume responsibility for paying the difference not covered by the insurer, even in the event of a total loss. At the conclusion of the contract, the tenant undertakes to reimburse KREW-V Rent a Car for any damage duly noted at the time of delivery or collection of the rented vehicle, in the event of discrepancies in the assessment of its condition.
In the event of an accident or breakdown, the lessee must under no circumstances leave the vehicle unattended or abandoned.
The lessee acknowledges having received the rented vehicle in perfect condition, and formally undertakes to return it to KREW-V Rent a Car in the same conditions in which it was delivered.
The vehicle will be delivered clean. The vehicle must be returned by the lessee in the same physical conditions in which it was delivered. Otherwise, a cleaning fee of $15 USD or $850 DOP will be charged to the lessee upon return of the vehicle.
The vehicle will be delivered with the full fuel level or other level specified in the contract at the time of collection. The customer must return the vehicle with the same level of fuel with which it was delivered. If the fuel level is lower, the customer will be charged a fee of $400 DOP per gallon upon return of the vehicle.
It is prohibited to cross the border of the territory of the Dominican Republic with the vehicle and to drive the vehicle on unpaved roads (i.e.: driving or traveling on unpaved surfaces such as sand, gravel, riverbanks, mud, rocks, and other natural terrains).
KREW-V Rent a Car is not responsible for fines for traffic violations and tolls incurred by the lessee. KREW-V Rent a Car is not responsible for any injuries that may occur to the lessee or any occupant of the vehicle.
Fees will apply based on the scheduled return date, time, or location, such as: returning the vehicle after the scheduled return date, time, or location, or beyond the one-hour grace period when the return of the vehicle is planned. To extend the contract, the lessee must contact KREW-V Rent a Car twenty-four hours before the scheduled return date.
A deposit is required at the time of rental. The amount of the deposit may vary depending on the vehicle. The lessee authorizes KREW-V Rent a Car to use the deposit, if any, to pay amounts owed to KREW under this agreement such as: damages caused to the vehicle, returning the vehicle with a level of fuel lower than that at the time of delivery, etc.
At the end of the rental contract, if the customer does not extend the contract, KREW-V Rent a Car can recover the vehicle without any legal consequences.
In the event of breach of the contract for the reasons indicated above, KREW-V Rent a Car may regain possession of the vehicle in whatever hand or place (in any hand or place where) it is located, even if the term of the contract has not expired. And, all this will be considered an express termination of this contract, without any liability on the part of KREW-V Rent a Car.
